LimboJob helps jobseekers find roles suited to their CV and prepare for interviews. Protecting your data is fundamental to that service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.
LimboJob (limbojob.com) decides how and why your personal data is processed, which makes us the data controller under the GDPR. For any privacy question, request or complaint, contact us at office@limbojob.com — that inbox is our data-protection contact point and we aim to respond within 30 days.
We rely on three legal bases (GDPR Art. 6): performance of our contract with you, to deliver the account, matches and paid features you ask for; our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure, preventing fraud and improving it, balanced against your rights; and your consent where we ask for it separately — e.g. optional job-alert emails, which you can withdraw at any time from account settings.
The uploaded file is analysed the moment you submit it, your skills profile is extracted, and the file is immediately discarded — we keep no copy. We never sell your data or use it to train AI models.
When you run an AI feature (match analysis, interview prep, cover letters or CV rewrites), the relevant CV and job text is transmitted to Anthropic, our AI sub-processor, to generate that content. This transfer is covered by Anthropic's Data Processing Addendum, which incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses as the safeguard for processing outside the EEA — Anthropic may process the data in the United States under that agreement. Anthropic uses the data only to return your result, does not use data submitted through its API to train its models, and does not retain it for that purpose. If you do not run an AI feature, your CV text is not sent to Anthropic.
We share only the data each of the following needs to do its job, under its own data-processing agreement with us: Stripe (payment processing — we never see your card details), Resend (sending verification, password-reset and job-alert emails), and our hosting/infrastructure provider (running the application itself). None of them may use your data for their own purposes.
Your CV file: never stored. Account data (email, hashed password, name): kept while your account is open, and for a limited period afterwards to meet legal, security or accounting obligations, then deleted or anonymised. Usage and credit-ledger data: kept as long as needed for accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and data sooner — see Your rights, below.
We use one essential cookie (a session cookie) to keep you signed in; it's strictly necessary for the service to work, isn't used for tracking or advertising, and doesn't require a consent banner. If you use the optional Google Translate widget, Google may set its own cookies for that feature under Google's own terms — we don't otherwise use analytics or advertising cookies.
You can request access, correction, export (portability) or deletion of your data at any time through the app or your account settings, and you can ask us to restrict or object to certain processing — email office@limbojob.com if you'd rather not use the in-app tools.
